Denver Startup Week: Being a Founder in the Military Community

September 27, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

We’re excited to host several Denver Startup Week sessions throughout the week of Sept. 24-28. Visit the Denver Startup Week website for a full list of sessions and events being hosted during the week. Remember, all sessions are FREE and open to the public, just don’t forget to register!

Session Topic: Being a Founder in the Military Community

Military Spouses and Veterans are twice as likely to be in business in five years versus their non-veteran peers. Yet funding for these businesses is still far below in contrast to those that have not worn the uniform. This panel will dive into that subject and discuss why this may be changing as more learn about how they can invest in less risky founders. We’ll talk about the resources that are available to military spouses and veterans as well as what it takes to navigate the business world after spending a number of years forward deployed. You will hear about their experiences and what they are doing to change the narrative around military spouse and veteran founders.

Don’t forget to add it to your Denver Startup Week schedule!
