TechUp Seminars are free learning opportunities designed to upskill and support underrepresented tech founders in the Denver area.

In this in-person seminar, participants can expect a comprehensive exploration of leadership principles and practices as it pertains to entrepreneurship and business ventures. The seminar begins by delving into the fundamental aspects of leadership, establishing a clear understanding of its definition and distinguishing the roles of managers from leaders. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their understanding of leadership’s motivational role through the application of path–goal theory. The leader–member exchange model is included with practical examples, providing a tangible perspective on its implementation. Emphasis will be placed on the critical aspect of trust in leadership, not only highlighting its importance but also providing insights into effective trust repair strategies. The seminar will dive into the nuanced comparison between transactional and transformational leadership, dissecting their elements for a comprehensive understanding. We will also cover the intricate intersections of morality within ethical, servant, and authentic leadership, gaining practical insights into how moral considerations shape effective leadership approaches.
