THE CLIMB Competition continues with “Shark Tank” Style Pitch Night Oct. 13

Submissions for THE CLIMB | Jake Jabs Business Plan Competition are in and it is time for the next step in the competition – live pitches.

All CU Denver students and the entire Denver startup community are invited to attend THE CLIMB Collegiate & Community Pitch Night at Galvanize Platte Campus (1644 Platte St.) on Thurs. Oct. 13, 6-9 p.m. This free “Shark Tank” style pitch event will feature the top finalists of THE CLIMB | Jake Jabs Business Plan Competition as they pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges and a live audience.

The celebrity judging panel for the evening includes Jake Jabs, CEO of American Furniture Warehouse and namesake of the Jake Jabs Center of Entrepreneurship; Matt Jonsen, Dorsey law firm associate; and Rodman Schley, BBG & Urban Conversion PBS television show host. Emcee for the evening is Wende Curtis, owner of Comedy Works in Denver.

This free event includes free food and beverages and networking opportunities with local entrepreneurs and business leaders. The audience also will take part in voting for which teams will advance in THE CLIMB competition.

The event is hosted by Galvanize Platte Campus, an entrepreneurial co-working space for small businesses and technology startups. For parking near the venue, parking apps such as SpotHero can provide the most convenient options.
