Timeline & Application
For our inaugural 2020 cohort, we’re seeking disruptors, creative thinkers, and collaborators in the CU Denver community.
To participate, you must:
- Have a CU Denver student, faculty, or staff member on your team
- File for or have an EIN (taught at the Pre-Req Workshop)
- Open a company bank account (taught at the Pre-Req Workshop)
- Start a company website during the program to receive stipend funds
Please note that we cannot support businesses in real estate, gambling, cannabis, or any other industry incompatible with the mission of the University of Colorado Denver.

Program Components
These tailored, educational sessions will build upon one another throughout the summer program. Through online videos, hands-on projects, and discussions, you’ll learn from some of Denver’s top business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs.
We’ll connect you with industry-specific coaches, seasoned entrepreneurs, and business and financial advisers, as well as peer-based accountability from your fellow cohort members.
Each team will get the exclusive opportunity to present their business during Demo Days at CU Denver and Denver Startup Week.
The Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship invites you to take advantage of our brand-new Innovation Suite at the CU Denver Business School (located at 1475 Lawrence St, Denver, CO 80202). You’ll have exclusive access to free WiFi, work tables, a mini kitchen, and private lockers.
